It was an eventful night last evening as Rosie gave birth to 8 beautiful puppies in just about 4 hours time. We have five little girlies and three little boys. All but one weighed in over a pound with the last just under. That is big an average pup is about 10 oz. Rosie had a pretty textbook delivery and has taken to motherhood extremely well.
Paws With A Cause trains Assistance Dogs nationally for people with disabilities and provides lifetime team support which encourages independence. PAWS promotes awareness through education.
Thanks for checking in on Rosie and her Posies! Rosie is a very special girl. She is a Golden Retriever that was bred by PAWS with a Cause (Hula X Bubba) with the idea that she would become an assistance dog for a person with a disability. Our family took her in as a foster pup when she was just 7 weeks old and began her basic training. As she matured, the folks at PAWS decided that Rosie would make a great Momma dog due to her calm demeanor and excellent physical health. She was placed in the "Generations of Independence" Breeding program and was bred for the first time in February of 2010. She is up to her third litter and this is their story.
